Scale Model

A scale model is a representation or copy of an object that is larger or smaller than the actual size of the object being represented.

Consider scale before you choose a model. Some people like to stick to one scale so it’s easy to see the relative size of the subjects. It is exciting to see how a Douglas DC-3 is dwarfed by a Boeing 747 and reflect on aviation in the 20th century. Others like to mix it up and build a variety of scales and subjects.

Scale models represent a re-creation of an object. However, scale models try to keep the relative length, width and height of each part of the model the same as on the original object.
